Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to support the development of Lonza transfection products. As a key member of our R&D team, you will lead a team of Research Assistants and contribute to the design and execution of novel cell engineering products and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative cell engineering products and applications for bioresearch and pharmaceutical discovery.
- Supervise and mentor Research Associates, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their growth and development.
- Design and establish current cell engineering topics in primary cells and cell lines, including CRISPR/Cas or transposition-based gene editing.
- Plan and implement scientific methods and approaches closely connected to cell and gene therapy applications.
- Present project and program progress and outcomes at group and department meetings, and prepare professional presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest literature and industry developments, and expand your skill set and knowledge in gene editing and related fields.
Requirements:
- PhD level education in a relevant biological field, or equivalent level of knowledge.
- Profound knowledge and expertise in designing and applying gene editing methods, including CRISPR and related cell and gene therapy applications.
- Strong customer-focused philosophy and ability to understand customer needs.
- Broad expertise and knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology, and cell-based analysis methods.
- Previous team management experience or experience in developing team members is desirable.
- Business fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
