Gene Editing Team Lead

Role Purpose:
We're seeking a Team Lead to support the development of Lonza transfection products. You'll lead a team of Research Assistants, guiding their growth and development while driving the development of novel cell engineering products and applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement novel cell engineering products and applications for bioresearch and pharmaceutical discovery.
- Supervise Research Associates, reviewing performance, agreeing personal development plans, and providing timely feedback.
- Design and establish current cell engineering topics in primary cells and cell lines, including design and execution of experiments, data analysis, and data preparation.
- Plan and implement scientific methods and approaches closely connected to cell and gene therapy applications.
- Presents project and program progress and outcomes at group and department meetings, preparing and delivering professional presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
- Expand skill set and enhance relevant knowledge by keeping up with literature, interacting with scientists, industry experts, and attending scientific conferences.
Key Requirements:
- PhD level education in a relevant biological field or equivalent level of knowledge.
- Profound knowledge and expertise in designing and applying gene editing methods, including CRISPR and related cell and gene therapy applications.
- A strong customer-focused philosophy, understanding internal and/or external customers' needs.
- Broad expertise and knowledge in molecular biology, cell biology, and cell-based analysis methods.
- Previous team management experience or experience in developing team members is desirable.
- Business fluency in English and German, both written and spoken.
