Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and internationally recognized researcher to fill a Professorship in Physical Chemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs-University / Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy.

Research Focus

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct interdisciplinary and inter-faculty research in the field of cryo-electron microscopy and cryo-tomography. The research should contribute to the methodological development of these techniques and address current research topics, including those related to the Cluster of Excellence CIBSS.

Teaching Responsibilities

The professor will be responsible for teaching physical chemistry, including (statistical) thermodynamics, kinetics, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, and quantum chemistry. The candidate should have a strong background in academic research and teaching, with a Habilitation according to the German academic system.
