The Vestas Service Offshore division is tasked with overseeing all functions related to the management and upkeep of offshore wind farms across Northern and Central Europe. With over 4 GW currently under service agreements, we are consistently expanding our portfolio and workforce.
You will embark on an exciting journey, being among the first to manage the latest and largest generation of Vestas offshore wind turbines, the V-.
You will join the newly established SOV-based team for the He Dreiht wind farm, which comprises x V- MW with a total capacity of MW, located in the German North Sea.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all offshore operational activities Manage and develop team members• Plan and assess production performance Develop and implement servicing and maintenance schedules Uphold conduct standards, discipline, and culture aboard the SOV Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports Facilitate technical discussions, team meetings, and strategic initiatives Manage crew interfaces on the SOV Prepare contingency plans for vessel operations Control and manage wind farm downtime Foster and lead a proactive safety culture Conduct turbine inspections, safety audits, and walks Focus on continuous improvement with first-time fixes and service duration Participate in daily briefings and toolbox discussions Coordinate and plan upgrade initiatives Serve as the operational escalation point for offshore or vessel-related challenges Supervise subcontractor management aboard the vessel
Required Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution Proficient in English and German, both written and spoken• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with electrical systems, particularly in wind or offshore environments, including high voltage At least 2 years in a similar supervisory role Valid driver's license Proficient in IT applications (preferably SAP, MS Office) Proactive decision-making skills Strong focus on safety and quality Responsible individual who takes ownership of operations A leader who effectively supports colleagues through sound management practices Ability to streamline tasks and ensure timely delivery Comfortable working offshore and adapting to the associated challenges Highly safety-conscious and capable of working at heights Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to enhancing service quality and work methods Motivated by being part of a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional standards for our clients Acknowledges personal limitations and is willing to seek assistance when necessary
