We are partnering with a growing toy company to find a Sales Director to lead their sales efforts in Germany.

As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and developing sales strategies that align with the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Create and execute comprehensive sales plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and achieve sales targets across various channels.
  • Lead and Mentor Sales Team: Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the sales team, and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Build and Maintain Key Accounts: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, channels, and partnerships, to expand the company's footprint in Germany and beyond.
  • Monitor Sales Performance: Analyse sales data and adjust strategies to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Manage Sales Budget: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximise ROI.
  • Provide Sales Forecasts and Reports: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to senior management, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with overall business objectives.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in the toy or consumer goods industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and leading sales teams to exceed goals in a competitive market.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with the German market and cultural nuances, with the ability to tailor sales strategies accordingly.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
