Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Sonova. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing a central marketing data platform, ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and develop data pipelines on Azure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Develop a new data warehouse on Azure, leveraging your expertise in data modeling techniques.
- Prepare scripts to restructure and populate data, ensuring seamless data integration.
- Develop current pipelines to run on Azure, optimizing performance and efficiency.
- Migrate the data lake and data warehouse to Azure, ensuring a smooth transition.
- Coordinate with analytics stakeholders on data modeling, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Satisfy data preparation and consumption activity requirements, ensuring timely delivery.
- Update data population scripts to fit new models and pipelines, ensuring data accuracy.
- Prepare documentation for all data pipelines, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Your Profile:
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering, including building professional data pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience in Azure services, including Data Bricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
- Professional experience in SQL (PL/SQL) and Python, with a strong understanding of data modeling techniques.
- Experience with processing structured and unstructured data, with a focus on data quality and consistency.
- Pragmatic capabilities to understand requirements and deliver results, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to provide creative solutions and maintain effective data pipelines.
- Mature experience in building data pipelines using Google Cloud Composer, with a strong understanding of data integration.
