We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our team at the BMW Group, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in AI Generative Models for Structure Development processes in the context of Generative Design.

What You Will Do:

  • Gain insight into the car virtual design process at BMW and dive into a real application of GenAI-driven engineering.
  • Explore the potential of GenAI in co-piloting engineers in designing complex parts.
  • Compare the GenAI-driven engineering with conventional development processes.
  • Work closely with IT and engineering counterparts on the requirements, turning ideas into effective solutions and independently presenting your results.
  • Work in an agile project organization as part of a Munich-based feature team.

What You Will Bring:

  • Master or advanced phase of Bachelor Studies of Mathematics, Computer Science, or comparable qualification.
  • Knowledge of and first practical experience in programming, machine learning, and deep learning.
  • Familiar with one or more Deep Generative Models like Autoencoders, GANs, or Diffusion models.
  • Knowledge with gradient-based optimization, DragGAN, DragDiffusion, and other relevant work is a plus.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python, including experience with libraries such as Scikit Learn, OpenCV, and NumPy.
  • Knowledge in one or more Deep Learning frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch.
  • Team spirit and communication skills.
  • Good English language skill.
