About the Role
The Internal Audit unit at RWE AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Auditor Trading to strengthen our resilience to external and internal threats and risks, supporting our growing green investment and growth strategy. As a Senior Auditor Trading, you will play a key role in providing independent auditing services to create added value for the RWE Group, continuously improving business processes, and strengthening our credibility with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver risk-based internal audits, particularly in the trading arm of the Group
- Engage in engagement planning, field work, alignment of audit results and recommendations, and compilation of tailored reports for senior management and boards
- Evaluate process efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control system across the desks and functions in the trading life cycle on the prompt, forward, and new markets
- Provide advisory to the business during regular and ad-hoc audits with comprehensive internal audit expertise and profound risk analysis and assessment
Requirements
- University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or Physics
- Several years of professional experience as an internal auditor or as an expert in the area of energy economics
- Understanding of trading, ideally (energy) commodity trading or trading-related risk management
- Understanding of physical and financial trading instruments as well as related end-to-end processes in front, middle, and back office
- Business fluency in English (verbal and in writing) and ability to summarise complex topics
- Mind-set for challenging existing processes
- Pronounced intercultural sensitivity and ability to convince other people
