Research Focus: Epigenetic Regulation of Pancreatic Cancer Cell Plasticity

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced PhD researcher to join our research group at the Robert-Bosch-Krankenhaus GmbH. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of epigenetic regulation of pancreatic cancer cell plasticity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to investigate epigenetic mechanisms controlling pancreatic tumor cell identity and therapy response
  • Analyze and interpret large-scale genomic and transcriptomic data using bioinformatic tools and techniques
  • Perform multiplex immunofluorescence staining and single cell RNA-sequencing to confirm gene regulatory mechanisms in primary tumor tissue
  • Contribute to the development of new research projects and collaborations
  • Document and present research findings in a clear and concise manner

Requirements:

  • Master of Science in a related field (biology, molecular biology, biotechnology or similar)
  • Experience with cell culture, transfections, and molecular biology techniques
  • Strong background in bioinformatic analyses and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
