Job Description

Job Summary:

Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business and growth opportunities in the Data Communication Infrastructure market segment, leveraging the Power products portfolio and different technologies of Renesas in all key applications from Grid to SoC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Power Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Data Infrastructure market segment to drive Power growth.
  • Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and design-ins (DIN) for the portfolio of products, including power management ICs, discrete power devices (Si, GaN, SiC), battery management solutions, and more.
  • Product Roadmap Alignment: Collaborate with the product line team to shape product roadmaps and ensure alignment with market demands.
  • Cross-Selling Initiatives: Lead cross-selling initiatives to promote the full range of products and solutions offered by the Power Products Group.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work with the systems and solutions marketing teams to influence their roadmap and create marketing collateral to support sales and business development with early customers' engagement.
  • Opportunity Reviews: Drive periodic opportunity reviews (funnel, DIN, revenue) with Sales and Product Lines (marketing and management) to reinforce the bond between the field and BU.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Report monthly opportunities progress, funnel increments in each of the regions of competence by Product Line, in the segment of focus.
  • Tactical Implementation: Implement tactics in alignment with sales and local BD teams to meet revenue and DIN targets defined together with the product lines.
  • Customer Engagement: Participate in promotion activities at customer, Sales events, Technical and Commercial Renesas Conferences and shows.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel domestic and abroad for 25% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven track record of success in business development within the semiconductor industry, specifically in power products, with a minimum 10 years of experience in business development and/or marketing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of power management semiconductor ICs, AC/DC, DC/DC converters, Battery Management, Si/GaN/SiC and other trending power architectures and technologies.
  • Market Knowledge: Experience working with key market segments of Data Infrastructure, Communication, Data centers, Wireless and Wired Access, Edge and Core Networks, system knowledge, with deep understanding of block diagrams with details of components parts.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to forge strong relationships with customers and partners.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is a must, German and added advantage.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, team building, open-minded, business-oriented, active listening, able to interface with customer and company stakeholders, self-initiative, self-motivating, prepared to continue changing, learning and growing.
