Join Hyundai Motorsport GmbH as a Powertrain Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Support Engineer to join our team at Hyundai Motorsport GmbH. As a key member of our powertrain team, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring powertrain activities during in-car tests and events.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement powertrain management system strategies and calibration plans prior to events and tests
  • Prepare and execute powertrain specific test plans during tests and events
  • Monitor engine and gearbox data during tests and events, including fire-ups, roll-outs, and testing
  • Provide detailed powertrain reporting after tests and events, including testing results, calibration, and problems
  • Liaise with the event team, including engineers and drivers, for all powertrain-related matters
  • Oversee powertrain activities and engine mechanics during events
  • Contribute to technical problem-solving and performance improvements within the Powertrain group
  • Support dyno calibration activities as needed
Requirements
  • M.Sc. or MEng with a technical engineering background in engine
  • Previous experience in the motorsport environment (WRC, Endurance, GT, F1, etc.)
  • Good understanding of internal combustion race engine fundamentals
  • Experience with engine calibration
  • Fluent English is compulsory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Engine Management Systems and data analysis (Marelli or equivalent)
  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks is essential
  • Ability to work as part of a team and create a motivating environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage and deliver tasks to meet established commitments
