Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Bioprocess Development Specialist to join our team and contribute to the development of our state-of-the-art system, Monipa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing components and prototypes using our in-house FDM/SLA 3D printers and collaborating with our external CNC manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities- Component Design and Development: Design and develop components and prototypes using our in-house FDM/SLA 3D printers and in cooperation with our external CNC manufacturer.
- Electronics Design: Design and develop electronics, including basic PCB design.
- Device Testing: Develop and extensively test new device components in compliance with Quality and GMP regulations.
- Assembly and Documentation: Assemble optical devices while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Procurement Management: Manage the procurement of CNC parts and other components.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure GMP/ISO9001:2015 compliant documentation.
- Education: Master's degree in engineering, electronics, medical technology, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Proficient in CAD software (preferably SolidWorks), strong technical understanding of interdisciplinary challenges, knowledge of design rules for 3D printing and CNC-compliant modeling, basic understanding of electronic components and troubleshooting techniques, basic programming skills in Python and C (particularly for Arduino), and proficiency in English and basic knowledge in German.

Monipa is an instrument designed specifically for bioprocess monitoring and control. It is based on MIR spectroscopy, making it possible to monitor multiple bioprocesses in real-time and continuously. Our instrument's applications are foreseen in both upstream and downstream bioprocessing, including multiple metabolite monitoring and control in upstream processing, contaminant detection or monitoring of target proteins and excipients in downstream processing.
