Job Title: Financial Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Städtische Klinikum Dresden. As a key user for finance and controlling, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as internal contact for all main accounting inquiries and provide expert advice on financial matters.
  • Organize and implement accounting processes, including creating complex process descriptions and booking instructions.
  • Ensure operational income tax declarations for all economic operations and prepare turnover tax advance returns, summary reports, and annual turnover tax declarations.
  • Handle various special tasks, such as assessing cooperation and service contracts, monitoring loan agreements, and reconciling various remuneration.
  • Conduct closing activities for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and support external audits by auditors and tax authorities.
  • Create and maintain master data and master data structures for the finance department and assist auxiliary accounting in creating booking-relevant master data.
  • Act as contact for cross-system processes, coordinate and monitor established booking processes, and optimize workflows and control processes.
  • Participate in projects and contribute to the development of financial planning and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed commercial training with further training as a balance accountant or tax specialist.
  • Ideally several years of operational experience in finance and accounting.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations (HGB, KHBV, KHG) and solid knowledge of tax law.
  • Experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • High level of self-organization and independent, structured work, reliability, commitment, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a sense of responsibility and resilience.
