Director (m/f/x) Global Medical Affairs Oncology Lead

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Director (m/f/x) Global Medical Affairs Oncology Lead at Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH.
About the RoleThe Director Global Medical Affairs Oncology will be responsible for assisting with defining compound/program medical strategies and for leading select medical affairs projects within a specific compound or indication.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the Global Medical Affairs strategy and plan for select indications/projects related to evidence generation, medical information, and internal education.
- Lead medical readiness activities for market launches and life cycle management for select indications/projects.
- Manage all medical aspects of company-sponsored GMA evidence generating studies/projects, including study document development and execution.
- Provide support in review of investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and serve as deputy compound lead in Global IIS Review Committee meetings.
- Lead external medical education and scientific exchange activities in alignment with the Senior Director.
- Collaborate across functions to support GMA MI&E activities to achieve approval of key scientific communications resources.
- Provide medical leadership in interactions with key external stakeholders and lead scientific engagement activities.
- PharmD or advanced doctorate degree (PhD, MD, DO or equivalent) in medical/scientific area is required.
- 10 or more years overall relevant experience, 4+ years experience in pharma at local, regional or global level.
- Excellent knowledge of current clinical practice in Oncology/Hematology/Endocrinology or other relevant disease area.
- Knowledge in and understanding of medical activities relating to the commercialization of oncology products.
- Demonstrates strong scientific expertise within assigned therapeutic area(s) within the franchise.
- Effectively manages activities and optimizes resources and budget to meet business needs.
- Builds strong internal and external relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Conducts medical/legal review.
- Operational knowledge and experience in prospective and/or retrospective study design and all stages of study conduct.
- Effectively engages external stakeholders across a broad range of audiences and activities.
- Provides training to internal customers.
- Reviews scientific communications resources and publications.
- Expertly manages ambiguity and highly complex situations.
- Has excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex scientific concepts simply and effectively.
