Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified Director of Global Medical Affairs Oncology Quizartinib to join our team in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our Global Medical Affairs team, you will be responsible for leading the development of medical strategies and executing plans for select indications and projects related to evidence generation, medical information, and internal education.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Global Medical Affairs Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement global medical affairs strategies and plans for select indications and projects, including evidence generation, medical information, and internal education.
- Manage Budgets and Resources: Oversee budgets and resources for assigned GMA plan activities, in collaboration with the Senior Director.
- Lead Medical Readiness Activities: Lead medical readiness activities for market launches and life cycle management for select indications and projects.
- Manage Medical Aspects of Studies: Manage all medical aspects of company-sponsored GMA evidence generating studies and projects, including study document development and execution.
- Provide Medical Support and Input: Provide medical support and input into commercial and market access discussions for select indications and projects.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GMA Clinical Operations, to achieve approval of key scientific communications resources.
- Lead External Medical Education and Scientific Exchange: Lead external medical education and scientific exchange activities, including scientific symposia and medical congresses.
- Manage Stakeholder Interactions: Manage interactions with key external stakeholders, including advisory boards, individual stakeholder interactions, and peer-to-peer discussions.
- Review and Approve Scientific Communications: Review and approve scientific communications resources, including medical information response documents, non-promotional materials, and educational slide decks.
- PharmD or Equivalent: An advanced doctorate degree in a medical or scientific area is required.
- Experience in Oncology Therapeutic Area: Experience in oncology therapeutic area is required, with a preference for experience in hematology.
- 10+ Years of Relevant Experience: 10 or more years of overall relevant experience, with 4+ years of experience in pharma at a local, regional, or global level.
- Excellent Knowledge of Clinical Practice: Excellent knowledge of current clinical practice in oncology, hematology, or other relevant disease areas.
- Strong Scientific Expertise: Demonstrates strong scientific expertise within assigned therapeutic area(s) within the franchise.
- Excellent Project Management Skills: Effectively manages activities and optimizes resources and budget to meet business needs.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts simply and effectively.
- Fluent English: Fluent English (oral and written) is required.
