Regional Business Managers (m/f/d) for Oncology

The Regional Business Manager is accountable for overseeing the oncology portfolio at significant regional stakeholders through a comprehensive approach, engaging healthcare professionals (HCPs), field representatives, local health funds, and networks such as HCP associations. This role involves identifying potential clients and stakeholders in the oncology sector and fostering relationships to enhance business growth. Collaboration with the marketing team is essential to develop and execute strategies and support initiatives for all stakeholder groups.

The RBM will manage and coordinate all cross-functional activities related to oncology clients in their designated area.

The Regional Business Manager will maintain ongoing communication with identified clients, which includes personal visits, calls, project work, educational events, and other virtual and in-person interactions. The focus is on establishing a comprehensive partnership with HCPs rather than merely conducting routine visits to medical offices. The RBM will also lead (in a dotted line capacity) the MCM associated with their business area, taking responsibility for a specific geographic region and overseeing customer prescriptions for oncology medications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a knowledgeable contact for oncology physicians in practices and hospitals, as well as other stakeholders such as physician networks, local health funds, and pharmacies, to facilitate the use of our oncology products.
  • Plan and execute activities targeting various specialist groups and their support staff within the oncology field.
  • Collaborate with the Market Access department to reduce local market access barriers.
  • Provide scientific guidance to clients regarding the use, effects, composition, and risks associated with monoclonal antibodies and future oncology products.
  • Share insights and experiences with clients about our medications and relay this information to the back office.
  • Develop and implement interaction formats and projects with all customer groups in close collaboration with cross-functional departments (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).
  • Present the latest data on our products to stakeholders.
  • Expand and maintain existing client relationships while acquiring new ones.
  • Achieve company-specific quantitative and qualitative goals.
  • Plan and organize events as needed.
  • Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including documentation and maintenance of internal customer databases.
  • Analyze and evaluate sales trends based on area sales figures.
  • Create and implement strategic business plans.
  • Manage the company's customer data effectively.
  • Oversee budget management.
  • Plan, organize, and execute regional events within the sales area and participate in national congresses and events.
  • Conduct proactive competitive monitoring and analysis, reporting findings to the Team Lead.
  • Consult and collaborate with back office support.
  • Actively participate in conferences and projects.
  • Adhere to relevant compliance regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using IT systems.

Requirements

  • Completed studies in pharmacy, human or veterinary medicine, chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical technology, or as a certified pharmaceutical representative.
  • Strong connections with oncology clients and stakeholders, including opinion leaders and relevant networks.
  • Proven track record of success in similar roles.
  • Good understanding of stakeholder decision-making processes and health economic market drivers.
  • Experience in supporting marketing initiatives and project management.
  • Professional experience in field service within the pharmaceutical industry, particularly with biologicals or biosimilars.
  • High level of customer orientation and excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable, structured work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in spoken and written German and English.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility in work arrangements.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
