We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at Forschungszentrum Jülich. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for developing a measurement setup including an electromyographic signal measurement system and a motion tracking system for reference. You will also collect data to build a new dataset for fast finger motion, train an artificial neural network for finger-position estimation, and make a live demonstration of finger-position estimation with electromyographic signals.
Your Profile:We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in biomedical engineering, physics, computer science, mathematics, electrical/electronic engineering, or a related field. You should have strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks. Knowledge of signal processing techniques and experience with EMG data analysis or other biomedical data is a plus. Experience with spiking neural networks and/or neuromorphic computing is also a plus. 3D modeling is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Experimental enthusiasm is a must.
