About the Role
HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their team in Oberkochen. As a key member of the Smart Sensors division, you will be responsible for leading development projects and ensuring timely delivery of high-tech products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical sub-projects in development, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
- Coordinate quantity structures and budget monitoring to optimize project outcomes
- Develop and maintain a network of service providers to support project needs
- Award subcontracts within and outside the development organization, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Oversee external development services, organizing reviews and ensuring quality standards are met
- Manage time, deadlines, and costs to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
- Support internal reviews as part of the development process, ensuring project progress and quality
- Coordinate development services with purchasing, quality, production, documentation, logistics, and system engineers
- Prepare and participate in customer acceptance tests and trials, ensuring project deliverables meet customer expectations
Requirements
- Completed technical studies in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
- Certified project management training is advantageous
- Several years of experience in project management, preferably in an agile environment or development projects
- Experience dealing with national and international subcontractors, internal customers, and cooperation partners
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and SAP
- Independence, initiative, and a solution-oriented approach to work
- Good communication skills and a convincing demeanor
- Willingness to take responsibility, ability to work in a team, and motivation
- Business fluent German and English skills
