ZEISS is committed to standardizing and streamlining various ERP systems from multiple companies across the Group during the transition from SAP R/3 to SAP S/4HANA. The objective is to align closely with SAP standards and harmonize processes across all sectors and regions wherever feasible, with a focus on Efficiency, Effectiveness, Speed, Flexibility, and Compliance. This project is both thrilling and intricate, serving as a crucial component in realizing the Company's strategic initiatives.

The Role...

ZEISS is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Business Process Consultant to contribute during this transformative phase for the organization. The selected candidates will collaborate with other business and IT professionals to gather business requirements and define necessary process modifications. You will analyze business needs in relation to the global SAP template while supporting end-to-end workstreams in designing essential adaptations to global template processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of analyzing and coordinating the development of global end-to-end Record-to-Record processes and requirements in collaboration with business representatives from the ZEISS MED segment and IT specialists.
  • Enhance, develop, and test the existing SAP template while integrating new functionalities for required end-to-end Record-to-Record process adaptations to global template processes.
  • Assist in change control and demand management for ZEISS entities currently operating in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Provide functional and process expertise based on current processes to design future processes, identifying potential handover points and interfaces with other end-to-end processes.
  • Prepare decisions regarding future process designs within end-to-end workstreams and with ZEISS MED process owners.
  • Act as a coordinator within the ZEISS MED segment to facilitate efficient design efforts and drive transformation.
  • Engage in typical agile practices such as Sprint Planning, Backlog grooming, Daily Stand-ups, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Support the development of training concepts and training documentation.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience, particularly in Finance and Controlling.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end Record-to-Report business processes, including P&L design, Internal Accounting, and integration with financial-related processes and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in business requirements management and business process design.
  • Familiarity with SAP R/3 (and ideally SAP S/4HANA) as well as relevant third-party business systems.
  • Relevant industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional conceptual, results-oriented, and communication skills.
  • Aptitude for building networks and a desire to work in an intercultural and interdisciplinary global team.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
