Central Tender Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Central Tender Manager to join our innovative Tender Management team at the Global Head Office of DHL Freight in Bonn. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end tenders, ensuring timely submission, exceptional quality, and market-leading solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver compelling bids and proposals that showcase our innovative solutions and capabilities.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare commercial/pricing proposals that align with our pricing policies and standards, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
- Analyze requests for tenders and investment projects, identifying requirements, and aligning strategies with management and sales teams.
- Create comprehensive commercial project management plans, including order management, claims management, invoicing, and cost and schedule monitoring.
- Utilize and master commercial/pricing tools, procedures, and databases to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of economic parameters in tenders to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Consolidate and communicate relevant commercial, financial, and technical information to stakeholders involved in bids and proposals.
- Prepare informative documents for management, providing updates on the status of tenders and highlighting key information.
- Effectively manage projects, considering costs, deadlines, resources, and quality requirements.
- Continuously develop innovative strategies and solutions to drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge in the logistics industry.
- 2-4 years of experience in tender management and proposal development, preferably in a global logistics or freight management environment.
- Proficiency in commercial and pricing strategies, with a proven track record of developing competitive proposals.
- Excellent analytical skills to evaluate economic parameters and ensure cost-effectiveness in tenders.
- Hands-on experience in Project management, including the ability to create comprehensive plans, monitor costs and schedules, and manage resources effectively.
- Familiarity with commercial/pricing tools, procedures, and databases to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Exceptional communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, management, and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of the logistics industry, market trends, and customer needs to develop tailored solutions.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), German is an advantage.
