We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Support Specialist to join our team at RIEDEL Communications. As a key member of our global Service & Support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and readiness of our wireless products used in broadcast and live applications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute release test cases and documentation in appropriate tools
- Document bugs in Jira and support our development teams with information
- Align explorative tests with the System Testing team and meet the needs of Pre-and After Sales Support, R&D and Product Management
- Test new hard- and firmware for broadcast and live event applications prior to market release
- Learn new technologies and prepare materials for internal trainings
- Provide support to external and internal customers as a second level expert/third level support
- Participate in occasional business trips
- Successfully completed technical studies in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer science or Audio engineering
- 2+ years of proven experience in a relevant market field, ideally in the (outside-) broadcast and entertainment market or RF technology
- Knowledge of wireless technologies and standards (analog, DECT, 2,4GHz, Bluetooth and others)
- Ideally knowledge of IP networks (LAN, VLAN, AES67, ptp, network switches)
- Preferably practical experience in testing of new Hard- and Software
- Attitude of 'test-to-break' with a good balance of detail orientation and keeping business targets in focus
- Precise work style with high self-pretention on quality
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-organized and capable to self-educate on new technologies
- Team player that fits the personality and basic setting of an international, medium-sized company
- Ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions using excellent communication skills
- Fluent English and German skills, any additional language is a plus
