Your Responsibilities
If you are eager to analyze and assess the business processes and IT systems of our clients, consider this internship opportunity in the IT Audit sector:
- Acting as a bridge between IT and business, you will work with your team to comprehend the business processes and IT systems of our clients, assessing their risks and identifying optimization potentials for risk mitigation.
- Your contributions will lay the groundwork for controlled and data-driven annual financial audits, necessitating a high level of responsibility. Additionally, your involvement in the ESG domain will allow you to contribute to matters of societal relevance from the outset.
- In addition to analyzing complex processes, you will investigate accounting-relevant transaction flows through our clients' application landscapes and assist our team in developing a comprehensive understanding of these processes.
- Your future responsibilities will also include preparing data related to accounting and GRC (Governance, Risk, Controls), as well as contributing to the further development of KPMG's digital audit approach.
- You can undertake your internship in IT Audit after completing at least three semesters in a degree program related to business administration, computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering, or natural sciences.
- As our work is fundamentally a "people business," you possess strong communication skills and enjoy building relationships with others.
- You are capable of organizing yourself independently, including in a remote work environment, while also being willing to travel occasionally to conduct on-site audits and consultations for our clients.
- Ideally, you have foundational knowledge in IT process topics such as access and change management, administration, and monitoring, or familiarity with external and internal accounting.
- You are prepared to learn about the other aspects of the role on the job.
- You are knowledgeable about current digitalization and technology trends and have a keen interest in them.
- You possess proficiency in German at a C1 level and English at a B2 level.
