Senior Frontend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at DataGuard. As a key member of our developer team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our machine-learning platform to enable thousands of customers to correctly handle customers' personal data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop user interfaces as per the requirement and specification, utilizing your expertise in modern web development and design principles.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and backend developers to create high-performance web applications, ensuring seamless integration and optimal user experience.
  • Design and implement modular and reusable components using Vue.js, adhering to best practices and workflows.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to convert designs into components, providing valuable feedback and iteration cycles.
  • Write modular CSS using BEM/SMACSS rules and proficiently use SCSS pre-processors.
  • Implement automated testing integrated into development and GitLab workflows using Cypress.
  • Optimize applications for performance, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Mentor junior developers and maintain a positive work culture within the team.
Requirements
  • University degree in Computer Science or similar educational background.
  • Highly proficient with modern JavaScript (ES6, ES7) and Vue.js, including its core principles such as components, reactivity, and the virtual DOM.
  • Familiarity with the Vue ecosystem, including Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router, and other relevant tools.
  • Good understanding of HTML5 APIs and CSS3, including SCSS preprocessor.
  • Understanding of Express, Docker, and other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of functional programming and object-oriented programming paradigms.
  • Ability to write efficient, secure, well-documented, and clean JavaScript code.
  • Familiarity with automated JavaScript testing, specifically testing with Cypress & Jest.
  • Experience with both consuming and designing RESTful APIs and a basic understanding of GraphQL.
  • Fluency in English Language (German is a plus).
