The successful candidate will provide field-based technical support and advice to customers and other business partners, while also supporting other functions with technical-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-class technical support to sales teams, distributors, customers, OEMs, and GAs.
  • Utilize commercial awareness to extend and uplift business opportunities.
  • Own the P5 (Technical Account Plan) and develop a technical network within customer organizations.
  • Develop and maintain deep product and application knowledge.
  • Recommend products and services, substituting competitor products and selecting the best products for customer applications.
  • Provide customer benefit solutions based on own knowledge and experience.
  • Plan and deliver customer trainings and presentations.
  • Support plant audits, field trials, OEM management, and complex technical issues.
  • Support relevant customer events, such as product launches and customer days.
  • Provide market feedback to R&T through the Product Technology Manager.
  • Support sales teams with relevant information on potential sales opportunities.
  • Involve in quality issues, mainly customer quality complaints.
  • Escalate complex technical issues beyond own competence and skills.
Key Challenges
  • Proper customer and OEM management based on understanding customer type and background.
  • Speak customer language, using solution benefit approach rather than product features.
  • Balance technical solutions with commercial aspects.
  • Proper prioritization and planning of tasks, aligning with sales priorities.
  • Proper understanding of customer needs through relevant tools.
  • Understanding own capability and limitations in handling complex queries.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of lubricants or relevant experience (3+ years for L2).
  • Customer-facing experience is beneficial.
  • Language skills: English. Others are beneficial.
  • Superior communication skills, good presentation skills.
  • Deep product and application knowledge, good commercial awareness.
