The Bernhard-Nocht-Institut für Tropenmedizin (BNITM) is dedicated to research, education, training, and consulting in the field of tropical diseases. We are currently seeking a HR SPECIALIST (M/F/D).

Your Role:
You will collaborate with and support the dedicated staff at BNITM in a manageable organization where you can work independently. Your communication skills and innovative ideas are highly valued. We emphasize strong teamwork and a relaxed working atmosphere. If you possess a high level of service orientation, you will find a perfect fit with us.

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage operational HR tasks, including labor law, collective agreements, and payroll processing.
- Maintain and update employee records and generate reports.
- Serve as a point of contact for management on all HR-related matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
- Collaborate closely with the staff council and relevant authorities.
- Initiate, implement, and enhance efficient HR processes while contributing to the digital transformation of HR work.
- Engage in HR project work, including the development and implementation of strategic HR tools such as employer branding, onboarding, and leadership development.

Your Qualifications:
- A university degree (preferably in business, law, or psychology) or a commercial apprenticeship, ideally with further qualification as an IHK HR specialist and experience in personnel management.
- Solid knowledge of labor law, with familiarity in public service collective agreements and fixed-term employment law being advantageous.
- Proficient in English and fluent in German, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
