We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Volocopter GmbH. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the required standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Maintain Quality Control Plans: Prepare and keep up to date Control and Inspection Plans for warehouse, part manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Conduct Quality Inspections: Conduct inspections of materials, components and finished products to ensure compliance with design and industry standards.
- Prepare and Review FAI Plans: Prepare and review FAI plans to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in CCB and CIB Meetings: Actively participate in CCB (Configuration Control Board) and CIB (Change Implementation Board) meetings to ensure timely implementation of changes to affected processes and Control/Inspection Plans.
- Analyze Non-Conformity Reports: Analyze Non-conformity Reports and monitor the trends of defects at responsible areas.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report upper management off-track results together with recovery plan proposals.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within and outside the organization to resolve project issues in a timely manner.
- Develop Process Improvements: Assist in the development of process improvements and descriptions in accordance with Part 21, EN9100 and other applicable aerospace industry standards and guidelines.
- Quality Assurance Input to Supplier Quality Team: Provide Quality Assurance input to Supplier Quality Team: NCR trends, defect analysis.
- Ensure Sustainable Solutions: Ensure sustainable solutions and continual improvement by driving root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action identification.
- Calibration Processes: Ensure the calibration processes are being executed as required.
- Education: Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Quality Engineering.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years working experience in quality assurance engineering role in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of aviation-relevant regulations (Part 21, EN9100, EN9102), problem-solving methods (5W, Ishikawa, 8D), PFMEA, NCR and RCA practices.
- Skills: Ability to solve constantly evolving problems, fluent communication (written and verbal) skills in English and German, confident in using MS Office, PLM and ERP tools (Teamcenter and/or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is plus).
- Travel: Ability to travel.
