Your Role
As an Area Sales Manager, your primary responsibility will be to expand our customer base and drive sales growth within your designated territory. You will play a vital role in the Vacuum Automation division.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will:
- Formulate and execute business plans for your territory that align with company objectives.
- Establish and oversee sales channels for our industrial vacuum automation and robotic gripping products to meet regional targets.
- Conduct regular assessments with distributors and partners to support regional expansion.
- Offer technical assistance for Piab's Vacuum Automation and Robotic Gripping product lines.
- Collaborate with other divisions and departments to manage sales activities effectively and achieve sales quotas.
- Engage in joint and direct sales efforts based on account potential.
- Document and track sales activities, including customer interactions and opportunities, using Salesforce CRM.
- Provide training and support to customers and sales channels regarding new products and application successes.
- Deliver on-site customer service and technical support for our products.
- Participate in company meetings, events, and activities.
- Assist with trade show preparations and representation.
You will report directly to the Sales Director DACH, and the position requires travel within your assigned area.
QualificationsWe seek candidates who are:
- Self-driven and results-oriented, with a strong commitment to achieving sales targets.
- Proactive and capable of working independently.
- Enthusiastic about technology and its applications.
- Adept at building relationships and engaging with clients.
- Skilled in multitasking and managing time effectively.
- Possessing a minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience, ideally in a distribution context.
- Holding a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Resilient with a proven track record of meeting sales objectives.
- Excellent in communication and presentation.
- Organized and capable of independent decision-making.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Having a general understanding of pneumatics and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
- Experience working with manufacturers and distributors is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experienced with online conferencing tools.
