Product Owner

We are Siemens AG, a leading company in industrial automation, and we are seeking a skilled Product Owner to join our esteemed organization. As a Product Owner, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) to drive the future of industrial operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to promote smooth data integration across platforms, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and long-term success. You will work closely with our development team to deliver customer value fast and focused, making our customer dreams become reality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define user stories and create a prioritized product backlog
- Hold ownership of defining and prioritizing user requirements
- Communicate closely with the development team regarding product features to be implemented
- Maximize the value addition of the products developed by the agile Scrum team
- Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including customers, business leaders, development teams, and project managers
Requirements:
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science, industrial engineering, or a related field
- More than 5 years of profound technical domain expertise working as a Product Owner or Manager
- Proven leadership in software development across IT and OT sectors
- Experienced in working directly with a wide range of customers to develop scalable solutions
- Deep knowledge of industrial plants, especially in data integration (shopfloor to topfloor)
- Familiar with tools like Confluence, Snowflake, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Cognite, PDC Kepware, or similar
- Agile mindset, thriving in dynamic environments with expertise in Scrum and other methodologies
- Committed to ensuring sustainable software quality and hands-on in feature validation
- Reliable team player, fostering mutual trust and collaboration
- Fluent in English, with German language skills being an added advantage
