Research Project: Optical Evaluation of Coating Thickness

Responsibilities

This project aims to conduct experimental research on the correlation between the thickness of paint coatings and their optical characteristics, while also identifying the limits of feasibility. The findings will serve as a foundation for constructing a prototype system dedicated to paint evaluation. Existing optical inspection technologies will be utilized in the development of the hardware setup, including industrial cameras, multispectral cameras, and infrared cameras. The software analysis will be carried out using the XEIDANA software framework, which will be validated in a laboratory setting with actual components or test samples through a series of experiments.
