Key Responsibilities
- Engage in projects within the New Growth Area Hydrogen Economy at Creavis.
- Design, establish, and execute laboratory experiments focusing on membrane technology and catalyst research.
- Synthesize and analyze membrane and catalyst materials for water electrolysis, including innovative membranes and catalysts.
- Develop and implement new techniques for the characterization of advanced membranes and catalysts.
- Assess and document findings, including modeling tasks using tools such as Excel, VBA, and Matlab.
- Conduct research, analysis, and compilation of scientific literature and market studies related to membrane and catalyst technology.
- Perform techno-economic modeling and analysis of hydrogen production methods, including water electrolysis (AEL, PEMEL, AEMEL), methane reforming, and coal gasification.
Qualifications
- Completed foundational studies in materials science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, or process engineering.
- Initial experience in polymer synthesis and the production and characterization of polymer membranes.
- Basic knowledge in electrochemistry and the characterization of electrocatalysts for water electrolysis or related electrochemical processes (FC, VRFB, electrodialysis).
- Proficient language skills in both German and English.
- A self-motivated, results-driven, and collaborative working style.
