Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy

Baxter is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy to lead our government relations and public policy efforts in the DACH region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to advance our business interests and promote our products in the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Advise and counsel company executives on public policy and governmental matters, including pending legislation and regulations.
- Develop and implement government relations and public policy strategies to support market development and patient access.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, trade associations, and industry partners.
- Participate in trade organizations and industry groups to influence legislation and regulations.
- Develop and manage patient advocacy relationships and other relevant alliances.
- Assist in government business transactions with Ministries of Health, Finance, and other relevant government agencies.
- Develop thought leadership and influence commercial strategies.
- Develop education programs and symposia to improve adoption of best clinical practices.
- 8-15 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of public policy making and public affairs processes.
- Ability to analyze key regulatory and policy issues and focus on those that advance the company's competitive business interests.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and German.
- Organized and self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
