The Financial Controller position will be located within Coats, supporting various local business units and other supply chain entities in the organization.

Job Overview

This role involves delivering precise financial analysis, product costing, and month-end reporting while collaborating closely with the Commercial team to facilitate strategic financial decisions that promote the company's growth. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical capabilities, a solid grasp of local GAAPs, and the ability to thrive under pressure with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Commercial and Sales Operations teams to generate weekly and monthly reports and analyses.
  • Support the month-end closing process by providing timely reports and analyses.
  • Analyze Cost Center reports and prepare comprehensive Group and business reports to assist Commercial and Operations teams.
  • Facilitate and support the annual audit process, including inventory counts and stock valuations in accordance with local GAAP, liaising with external auditors, and implementing necessary adjustments based on their findings.
  • Compile all monthly and annual supporting documentation and reports for the State Statistical Office.
  • Conduct additional ad-hoc analyses as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a professional certification is advantageous.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • A minimum of several years of experience in a financial management capacity, ideally within a comparable industry.
  • Strong comprehension of financial statistics, local GAAPs, and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with all relevant statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Proficient in finance software such as SAP and possess advanced skills in MS Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Professional proficiency in both German and English, both written and spoken.
