Transitioning towards a sustainable and carbon-neutral future necessitates substantial transformations within the energy and building industries. The rise of renewable energy and electric mobility introduces new challenges for future power grids. Addressing climate change compels us to conserve energy and develop smart, secure, and sustainable buildings.
Within the Chief Technology Office's Digital Portfolio team, we unite our product and portfolio managers, clients, and sales specialists with a singular objective: to enhance and revolutionize our digital products and services, empowering our customers to navigate the challenges ahead. Assist utilities and grid operators in modernizing their infrastructures for electric vehicles and renewable energy in the most efficient manner. Establish manufacturing processes that optimize the utilization of renewable energy. Create smarter and more sustainable buildings and communities.
We seek a proficient Senior Energy Management Architect (f/m/d) with extensive knowledge in digital solutions that regulate energy consumption for commercial and industrial clients. Your responsibilities will encompass not only the overarching architecture for our energy management portfolio but also the execution of necessary modifications and enhancements to existing solutions. You will collaborate closely with product management colleagues, synchronize portfolio alignment and development, and oversee portfolio requirement management.
At Siemens, we foster an ownership culture where every employee is accountable for our collective success. We empower our leaders to act as owners, guide their teams, and innovate for success. We maintain open and honest communication to learn from our setbacks and celebrate our achievements. We frequently acknowledge individual and team accomplishments and invest in our team members by providing a wide array of internal and external development opportunities.

Your typical responsibilities will include:
  • Designing system architectures that incorporate various energy management systems, including microgrids, demand response systems, flexibility management, and energy monitoring solutions.
  • Assessing and selecting suitable technologies, frameworks, and protocols for energy management systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including software developers, engineers, and data analysts, to ensure successful implementation of energy management solutions.
  • Driving the strategic roadmap and tactical execution for an integrated product portfolio.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of tasks across all business units and workstreams.
  • Taking ownership of managing both internal and external collaborators.
  • Monitoring industry trends and advancements in energy management technologies to remain informed about market developments.
  • Coordinating portfolio alignment and development, and managing portfolio requirements.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for Energy Management within Smart Infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, software architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive professional experience in system architecture related to digital energy management solutions (e.g., microgrid technologies, EV charging systems, demand-response management, renewable energy integration, energy-efficient buildings).
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to contribute innovative ideas and implement them effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and seeking solutions to successfully complete projects.
  • Strong communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with diverse stakeholders to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
  • Eager to work in an interdisciplinary team, engaging closely with clients and sharing expertise with non-technical personnel. Comfortable in international and remote settings.
  • Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages, particularly German, are advantageous.
What we offer:
  • 2 to 3 days of mobile working per week as a global standard.
  • Attractive compensation package.
  • Opportunities for both personal and professional development.
