Expert Project Subcontracting Management Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontracting Management Expert to join our team at Exyte. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing complex and technically challenging work packages from contract award to project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control subcontractor performance to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Process and manage subcontractor claims in a commercial and efficient manner.
  • Manage supplement and change requests from subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contract management to minimize risks associated with subcontractor delays.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, quality, scheduling, and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives through regular feedback and lessons learned.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Project Procurement Manager on subcontracting activities.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in economics or engineering.
  • Have extensive knowledge of process technology for biopharma or semiconductor production plants, including GMP, media supply, and chemicals.
  • Bring several years of professional and project experience from large construction and engineering projects.
  • Possess a high level of commercial and technical expertise.
  • Be proficient in using MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and SAP, with a strong command of written and spoken German and English (at least level B2).
  • Be flexible and willing to travel for longer assignments on our construction sites within Germany.
  • Be ready to act, deliver results, and collaborate across the company.
  • Be proactive in decision-making and take responsibility for your actions.
