Head of Electric Motor Development

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of electric motors within our Business Unit Electric Automation. You will lead a team of 10 people at our headquarters in Esslingen, and also oversee development engineers at our international locations.
Your Responsibilities:- Disciplinary and technical management of the development team for electric motors and cables (low voltage and safety extra-low voltage) at our headquarters
- Technical management of the development teams at our foreign locations
- Global definition and implementation of the development strategy to increase efficiency with regard to motor development in terms of methods, processes and tools
- Monitoring development projects, including time planning, resource management and budget control
- Evaluation and optimization of existing engine concepts as well as evaluation of new technical solutions
- Monitoring compliance with quality standards and legal regulations of the global target markets in engine development and product maintenance
- Coordinating the technical product maintenance of existing series products, including various merchandise products
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar field of study
- Several years of experience in leading teams and in the development of electric motors
- Sound knowledge of motor development, calculation and design of motors as well as performance optimization and material selection
- Experience in the area of functional safety
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Team-oriented leadership and coaching skills
- High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as strong communication and presentation skills
