Head of Electric Motor Development and Innovation

**About the Role**
In this position, you will be responsible for leading the development of electric motors within our Electric Automation business unit. As the Head of Electric Motor Development, you will oversee a team of 10 people at our headquarters in Esslingen, and also be responsible for the development teams at our foreign locations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the development team for electric motors and cables (low voltage and safety extra-low voltage) at our headquarters
- Oversee the development teams at our foreign locations
- Develop and implement a global development strategy to increase efficiency in motor development, including methods, processes, and tools
- Monitor development projects, including time planning, resource management, and budget control
- Evaluate and optimize existing engine concepts, as well as evaluate new technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and legal regulations of the global target markets in engine development and product maintenance
- Coordinate the technical product maintenance of existing series products, including various merchandise products
**Requirements**
- Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a similar field of study
- Several years of experience in leading teams and in the development of electric motors
- Sound knowledge of motor development, calculation, and design of motors, as well as performance optimization and material selection
- Experience in the area of functional safety
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Team-oriented leadership and coaching skills
- High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and presentation skills
