Civil Engineer for Wind Turbine Foundations

Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in the design and analysis of concrete towers and foundations for wind turbines. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of concrete structures.

Your Responsibilities

  • Independently develop concrete and hybrid towers for wind turbines, collaborating with suppliers as necessary.
  • Utilize finite element method (FEM) for the design and analysis of concrete structures, ensuring structural integrity under varying wind conditions.
  • Evaluate and address damage to concrete structures, conducting fault analyses and formulating repair strategies.
  • Provide essential support for the approval of innovative construction products and methods at the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).

Your Qualifications

  • Completed diploma, master's degree, or doctorate in civil engineering, focusing on steel and prestressed concrete construction.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and calculating fatigue-stressed steel and prestressed concrete structures, preferably with wind turbine towers and foundations.
  • Proficient in using advanced commercial FEM software such as ANSYS or Abaqus for concrete structure calculations.
  • Strong understanding of the applicable standards in the German market.
  • Significant experience in damage assessment of concrete structures.
  • Ability to work independently, responsibly, and systematically.
  • Confident and assertive demeanor with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of German and/or Spanish is advantageous.
