Environmental Compliance Team Leader

Team Leader Permitting (m/w/d)

Join Fugro Germany Land GmbH as a Team Leader Permitting in a stimulating and dynamic growth environment, engaging in significant projects across Environment, Infrastructure, Water, and Renewable Energy. In this role, you will ultimately oversee a team of 8-10 professionals dedicated to developing environmental permitting documentation and offering expert guidance to clients and developers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Service Line Manager for Consulting.
  • Lead a team within the Consulting Service Line, establish objectives, and track progress.
  • Address team-related matters including scheduling, disciplinary issues, and motivation, while promoting effective communication.
  • Facilitate employee development discussions in collaboration with the Service Line Manager.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of a growth strategy for the Consulting Service Line in Germany.
  • Enhance collaboration across Service Lines within Fugro Germany Land.
  • Identify and secure new projects, engage in proposal development, and participate in competitive bidding.
  • Manage client relationships, negotiations, and project presentations.
  • Encourage team innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical evaluation of project proposals.
  • Recruit specialists for the Service Line and support career advancement.
  • Promote a culture of initiative within a multinational corporate framework.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Landscape Planning, Geoecology, Geography, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in landscape planning and environmental approval processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of approval procedures.
  • Experience in coordinating or leading project teams.
  • Analytical and structured approach to work, complemented by a strong team spirit.
  • Proven expertise in market engagement and client management.
  • Proficient in MS-Office and ArcGIS.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
