Parts Procurement Specialist

Position Overview:

The role of a Procurement and Parts Analyst involves overseeing the supply chain and logistics for classic vehicle components within the esteemed Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to assess supplier discontinuations and pricing requests, developing strategic solutions for procurement challenges.
  • Conduct medium and long-term demand forecasting and range analysis for supported parts.
  • Ensure timely availability of parts and maintain service levels globally in accordance with Mercedes-Benz Heritage LifeCycle processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance against targets and coordinate with product managers to ensure alignment.
  • Engage with various departments including product management, technology, and development to facilitate logistical and economic solutions for LifeCycle processes.
  • Manage customer and supplier backlogs efficiently and meticulously.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in logistics or business administration, or equivalent technical training.
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, with a minimum of two years' experience in the field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and understand production methods.
  • Experience in project management, particularly in complex problem-solving scenarios.
  • Self-motivated with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Fluency in German and English at a business level (B2/C1).
