About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our Global IFRS Excellence team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the completeness and correctness of SAP's accounting and external financial reporting under German and International law.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, assess, and determine the appropriate accounting treatment for complex financial transactions and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive complex accounting entries and leverage SAP's financial systems to streamline and automate processes.
- Draft or review financial statements and disclosures related to assigned topical areas.
- Stay up-to-date with technical accounting guidelines and drive updates and enhancements to accounting policies.
- Represent SAP as a subject matter expert internally and externally.
Requirements
- Deep professional experience in applying IFRS accounting rules, with a focus on financial instruments, stock-based compensation, and other valuation-related topics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and German is a must.
- Excellent skills in MS Excel and knowledge of accounting-related functionalities in SAP ERP is preferred.
- University degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a strong focus on technical accounting.
- CPA/CA/ACCA certification is a plus.
- At least 8 years of experience in accounting and reporting under IFRS or in the assurance area of an audit firm.

The Global IFRS Excellence team is responsible for evaluating, deciding on, and overseeing IFRS technical accounting topics for subsidiaries worldwide. We own the SAP Group Accounting Guideline and execute end-to-end accounting processes within our Centers of Expertise.
