IT Infrastructure Administrator

Position: IT Administrator for O365

Location: Remote with occasional travel within the country (up to 10% of the time)

Language Requirements: Proficiency in German (B2-C2) and English

Contract Duration: 6 Months with potential for extension

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive technical background in on-premises infrastructure, including architecture design, deployment, troubleshooting, and management of technology.
  • A minimum of five completed projects demonstrating relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
    • Over 5 years of experience in architecture design, deployment, troubleshooting, and technology management.
    • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team collaborator in a dynamic environment where technology and client needs may evolve rapidly.
    • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft's Modern IT Architecture and Strategy.
    • Experience with PowerShell and scripting.

Responsibilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Exchange Server architecture (versions 2010, 2013, 2016).
  • Advanced troubleshooting capabilities for Exchange Server (versions 2010, 2013, 2016).
  • Designing and implementing services for Microsoft Exchange Server (versions 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019), including:
    • High Availability (DAG)
    • Public Folders
    • Mail Flow
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Managed Availability
    • Messaging Policies
    • Compliance
    • Configuration of Reporting & Logging
  • Conducting assessments of Exchange Servers, performing health checks on existing solutions, and providing best practice recommendations and guidance to clients.
  • Supporting clients in their operations within Exchange environments, focusing on change, release, performance, and availability management.
  • Experience with Exchange migrations, upgrades, and optimizations.
  • Solid understanding of SMTP protocols.
  • Familiarity with Failover Clustering.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting.
  • Proven success in planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments.
