Lead Electrical Engineer for Renewable Projects

Position Overview:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Onshore Wind and Photovoltaic (PV) projects across Germany, contributing to the transformation of the renewable energy landscape. The Project Engineering Germany division is dedicated to delivering technical guidance and expertise throughout the lifecycle of our wind farms, focusing on Resource Assessment, Site Suitability, Civil, and Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee projects from initial development through to operational phases, ensuring robust electrical design for Wind and PV systems integrated with the grid.
  • Manage aspects related to transmission, distribution, and grid connectivity.
  • Conduct load flow and short-circuit analyses utilizing PowerFactory software.
  • Engage collaboratively with internal teams including Instrumentation & Control, Development, Construction, and Operations.
  • Draft tender documentation for electrical components and engage in technical negotiations with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with external service providers, supervising projects until successful commissioning.
  • Administer the certification process in accordance with industry standards.

Candidate Profile:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing projects for medium to high voltage systems.
  • Proficient in PowerFactory and other relevant engineering software.
  • Familiarity with German transmission and distribution networks, including applicable norms and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with a valid driver's license.
