Position Overview:
The Service Management Architect is tasked with overseeing the Service Management Architecture, which outlines the essential components of a business and their interconnections. This role collaborates closely with the IT Global Operations team, the ITSM Process Owner, and IT ServiceNow Engineering to enhance the Service Management Platform and its associated processes continuously. The Service Management Architect is accountable for the overall architecture, design, implementation, and integrity of the ServiceNow platform across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the ServiceNow platform, roadmap, and integration strategy.
- Lead the design and optimization of the Service Management Platform based on industry best practices.
- Establish and develop standards and practices for maintaining the ServiceNow architecture model.
- Act as the consulting owner of current processes for continuous improvement and governance.
- Oversee the design of the ServiceNow Platform, including integration strategies (e.g., utilizing infrastructure platform APIs via SOAP and/or REST APIs) and performance considerations.
- Define, guide, and support the execution of technical governance processes (e.g., platform change review).
- Collaborate closely with development teams, participating in design and architecture reviews.
- Maintain technical specifications and documentation, including architecture diagrams, system documentation, and manuals.
- Ensure the overall data integrity of the entire CMDB and leverage its value.
- Support the remediation of configurations that do not align with ServiceNow best practices.
- Evaluate instance health (performance, manageability, usability, scalability, upgradability, and security).
- Lead the development of standards and practices for maintaining the health of the ServiceNow platform.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is required.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of professional experience in service management architecture.
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow architectures, particularly in ITSM, CMDB, and preferably CSDM modules.
- ServiceNow Technical Architect certification is required.
- Comprehensive understanding of the ServiceNow portfolio, platform architecture, and related technologies and dependencies.
- Fluency in English is required.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with CMDB Health dashboard configuration and CMDB remediation, including duplicate and stale CI items.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are preferred.
- Proficient in event management, service mapping, platform security, and integration best practices.
- Understanding of the ServiceNow CMDB class hierarchy and its relation to Asset and Configuration Management.
- Master's degree in an IT-related field is preferred.
- ITIL 4 certification is an advantage.
