Senior Risk Management Officer

Our group comprises two FINMA-regulated financial institutions and a BaFin-regulated subsidiary in Germany. We are committed to providing professional digital asset solutions to our clients.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a viable risk framework that meets all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and manage risks to the organisation, its employees, stakeholders, assets, and operations
- Develop strategies and policies to establish the framework, tools, procedures, and internal control standards for successful risk identification and management
- Oversee and monitor the enterprise risk management activities of the organisation
- Facilitate and coordinate regular risk and control assessments, creation and continuous improvement of risk control structures, address any weaknesses, and produce reports to senior management
- Perform independent risk assessments and analyses to address potential or specific new risks related to products, operations, technology, or security
- Handle risk-related projects and work closely with business functions
- Advise senior management on specific risks scenarios and course of action to address these risks
- Manage loss event reporting, incident reporting, and investigation of root causes
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a technology-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in a comparable role in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling
- Experience in crypto and/or trading is a plus
- Compliance experience or knowledge of German financial market regulation is a plus
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Strong problem-solving mind-set, creative in finding solutions, structured in implementation
- A dynamic person with an innovative spirit, a positive attitude, and strong motivational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and hands-on, with an attention to detail
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
