About the Role
We are excited to announce the establishment of a new division focused on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCU/S). This initiative aims to provide sustainable contracting solutions throughout the entire CO2 value chain.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead commercial projects to implement large-scale carbon capture facilities at industrial sites and power plants across Europe, focusing on post-combustion carbon capture with capacities exceeding 100 kt/a.
- Manage contracts and claims, particularly for EPC and engineering agreements, including the development of commercial specifications, tendering processes, evaluations, negotiations, and final contract approvals, with support from legal and technical experts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage in drafting and negotiating various standardized international supply contracts while navigating different national legal frameworks.
- Act as the liaison between project teams and E.ON's central procurement department, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Oversee project budgets, conduct ongoing financial reporting, and implement continuous risk management strategies from project award to acceptance.
- Conduct pre-qualifications for suppliers and service providers to ensure compliance with established standards and facilitate supplier development.
Your Profile
- University degree or equivalent with a strong commercial background and extensive knowledge of procurement and tendering processes; in-depth understanding of international contract management and legal frameworks.
- Several years of experience in commercial project and contract management within the process plant construction or energy sectors.
- Proven ability to navigate complex purchasing situations effectively.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the capacity to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, and maintain a high level of commitment; strong team player with effective negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend technical specifications and legal topics to approach procurement holistically (technical, commercial, and legal aspects).
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and German (minimum B2 level); proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP BI and SAP Materials Management, along with advanced MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Willingness to travel for short business trips across Europe to engage with clients and stakeholders.
