Cloud Security Engineer - Java - Frankfurt EUR

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at Optimus Search. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our clients' applications within the financial sector.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop essential software using Java and cloud technologies.
  • Uphold a high standard of security and coding practices.
  • Engage daily with infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Establish and advocate best practices throughout the software engineering life cycle.
  • Manage cloud technologies, with a focus on AWS and CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate within a self-organizing and cross-functional Agile team.
  • Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approaches to embed quality into the implementation.
  • Provide mentorship to junior software engineers.

Your Skills & Experience:

To thrive in this role, a successful Cloud Security Engineer will possess:

  • Commercial experience as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, or security engineer.
  • Significant experience or a keen interest in Security within software.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, showcasing your ability to navigate and utilize this crucial tool.
  • In-depth experience with AWS and cloud technologies, demonstrating your expertise in cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with Java, showcasing your versatility in programming languages.
  • Experience with Spring Boot and the Spring framework.
  • Proficiency in Python, or a relevant programming language, highlighting your programming prowess.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English, with German language skills a bonus.
  • A genuine passion for both DevOps and security, demonstrating your commitment to staying at the forefront of industry best practices.
