Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Buyer - IT Category to join our team in Munich, Germany. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the IT category strategy and leading sourcing activities to secure the best value for our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Management: Develop and execute the IT category strategy in alignment with key stakeholders, establishing measures and controls to track successful implementation and drive sustainable improvements.
- Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead and execute end-to-end sourcing processes (RFX) from specifications definition to contract finalization, securing best value for money through excellent negotiation skills and leveraging market know-how and cost opportunities.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Monitor and manage relationships with vendors, ensuring contracts are negotiated, established, and executed as per agreement, and resolving performance gaps.
- Category Excellence: Establish contingency plans to prevent potential shortcomings of suppliers and ensure overall category management, including supplier relationship management, performance monitoring, qualification of Preferred Suppliers, Third Party Due Diligence, and risk mitigation.
Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Procurement or related field/Business Administration.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working experience in Procurement, with strong negotiation skills combined with contractual/legal knowledge.
- Skills: Strong execution, reliability, and ability to thrive under pressure, proactive with a keen attention to detail, ability to work accurately, flexible to take on ad-hoc tasks in response to changing priorities, thorough understanding of MS Office, SAP MM, eSourcing, and Procurement Suites.
- Language: Fluent in English, another European language is a plus.
