Research Associate in Protein Engineering

Join a dynamic and enthusiastic team at our research facility, where you will collaborate with academic and industrial partners to advance the development of diagnostic and therapeutic solutions. Your primary focus will be on the production and analysis of recombinant proteins in a controlled laboratory environment. You will engage in the complete process from construct design to molecular cloning, production in various host systems, purification, and biophysical characterization.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of protein chemistry, including familiarity with computational structure prediction and engineering tools
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in recombinant protein production utilizing advanced cloning and purification techniques; experience with viral proteins and/or antibodies is a plus
- Proficiency in one or more biophysical techniques such as DLS, SEC-MALS, or MST
- A curious, innovative mindset with a strong desire to adopt new methodologies, including AI-based protein design
- An independent and organized approach to work, along with a commitment to professional development
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and German
- A collaborative spirit and a strong motivation to work within an interdisciplinary team in the life sciences sector
