Job Summary
TÜV SÜD is seeking a highly skilled Engineer Surveyor to join our team of experts in the field of lifting equipment inspection. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of lifting equipment with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough inspections and examinations of lifting equipment and accessories to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Liaise with the planning team to optimize inspection routes and schedules, ensuring timely completion of inspections.
- Conduct LOLER and PUWER inspections on various types of lifting equipment, identifying and reporting any defects or non-compliances.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, including necessary paperwork and reports.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry developments, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in the lift industry, with a strong understanding of statutory regulations.
- Proven mechanical and electrical engineering skills, with a recognized qualification in a relevant field.
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience in data entry and record-keeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A full UK driving license, with the ability to travel to various locations as required.
Desirable Criteria
- Engineering experience with lifting equipment, with a strong understanding of inspection and maintenance procedures.
