Your MissionAs a Lead Software Engineer at BetterDoc GmbH, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the architecture design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications using Elixir and Phoenix.
- Mentoring and guiding a team of engineers to ensure high-quality, well-tested code.
- Conducting code reviews and ensuring high standards.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks and optimizing system performance.
- Ensuring security in all engineering work.
You will work closely with our product management team to define and implement technical solutions that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications.
- Proficiency in Elixir and familiarity with web development frameworks like Phoenix.
- A strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns, including Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architecture.
- Experience in building and maintaining microservices architectures, ensuring services are loosely coupled, highly cohesive, and independently deployable.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
